Greetings:
Welcome to the St Cloud NAACP chapter website. On February 12, 1909, a multiracial group of activists including W.E. B. DuBois, Mary White Ovington, John Haynes Holmes, Moorfield Storey, Ida Wells Barnett, Henry Moskowitz, Oswald Garrison Villard, and William English Walling founded the NAACP. They fought to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice. One hundred years later the NAACP is still alive and still fighting for justice. However, the organization would not exist without dedicated members and supporters. Please join us in keeping this historical organization alive.
You have to make sacrifices in order to make progress... Medgar W. Evers
